Class Description
In this class, we’ll teach you how to get started shooting with strobes.
Class Outline
Part 1 - Camera Setup
We’ll go over the proper settings to use when shooting with strobes in studio. Shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and color temperature are all important when shooting in studio.
Part 2 - Strobe Setup
We’ll demonstrate how the lights operate as well as how to build and attach modifiers.
Part 3 - Light Setups
To keep things simple, we are going to be using one strobe, but we are going to use 4-5 different modifiers to demonstrate the variety of looks that can be created with just one light.
Part 4 - Controlling Shadows
As a bonus, we will talk a bit about bounce cards for adding or subtracting light. Also, we will touch on subject positioning and how it can affect shadows.

This class is perfect for photographers who may have experience shooting outdoors with natural lights, or indoors with constant light but would like to learn what is capable with strobe lighting.

We recommend you bring your camera to shoot during the Open Studio portion. We will provide all of the necessary lighting equipment, but you are welcome to bring your own for the open studio portion.
